James Mansaray Report: Part 2 of 3

James Mansaray Report: Freetown, Sierra Leone

Part 2 of 3

Marked with their end of term exams, I decided to shy away a little till the students were less busy so that I wouldn’t interrupt their schooling.

You would notice the leaf hats and clothing they placed on. This was all part of their art and craft work and each and every kid hopes to make his special mark out of this.

Please forgive me for the poor pictures this time. I ran out of battery while doing this so I had no choice but to use a mini camera to get my work done. I almost died when I noticed this but it did teach me a lesson.

It was Mako’s idea that day 3 should be cleaning and flower planting day.

Above picture: Mako preparing school documents, etc.

Here we all worked together with the kids to make the school compound clean and beautiful. One thing you will always learn at NHA is that we are all one family in all we do.

Seeing those kids active and happily with their working tools ready to help their beloved school says it all.

Part 3 of this report tomorrow, Thursday 16 April. See you then… have a great Wednesday!
